It can be challenging keeping track of families, and even harder when they have children at college, missions, internships, etc. Do you make that child their own record or do you keep them with their family record? The answer with stafftool is... YES. 8-)

1) Establish the family relationships with each of the members of the household if not already done (parents, siblings, etc)

2) Make sure, "Yes, this person is the primary contact for their household" is checked for one of the parents/guardians

3) Edit the child's record and enter in the new address for the child who is away and set it as his/her "preferred" address

4) Select "Yes, this person is the primary contact for their household" for the child who is away

That's it! The chid will appear with the household they are members of AND he/she will also have their own record in the Family View and the Directory report showing their address while they are away. Flexibility... ah, how refreshing!
